Fat people are fat because “obesigen”

There are ads on YouTube and it was on Dr. Oz as well, apparently there is a compound called Obesigen and it circulates in the blood of fat people, that’s why they’re fat, it has nothing to do with calories or lifestyle, and the newly discovered tonic in Taiwan flushes out these fat causing compounds while you sleep and it’s 600% more effective than exercise, it’s proven by research!

Got it?

i used to think it was simple but too many people i know have had zero luck and are type A personalities, driven go getters.
One lady left her nutty gov job and lost 100 pounds, so there are many factors at play here.

I’m sure I’m going to get hate for this post

I think weight loss is simple, but for so many people it must be virtually impossible

What changed my mind on this was I remember hearing about a long term study that looked at a large random group of people that did weight loss, and almost all of them regained their weight after 5 years or something like that. And that’s of people that actually lost weight in the first place

If almost 100% of people can’t/won’t do it, something is wrong. You can’t just blame it on willpower when virtually nobody has success.

IMO many peoples genetics are programmed to fight starvation, and living in a world where food is so cheap/available/tasty pretty much guarantees such people are going to be obese. You can’t fight your genes that much, just like a low IQ person isn’t going to be winning Nobel prizes
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

People have the same results with all types of addictions. Pornography is a prime example. Most people that quit viewing it will often backslide and continue in their old ways. If you don't want to do something, you simply do not do it. You take measures to prevent you from succumbing to your addiction. A man that is hell bent on not stumbling in the ways of a druken state does not spend his evenings at a bar. There is no "gene" that prohibits you from being a degenerate.

No reason to get hate for that. You are saying that some people are born with a large appetite. That is a perfectly reasonable statement to make. They still have to physically overeat though.

Some people who haven't had a drink in 30 years still call themselves alcoholics, as the craving is still there, but they choose to fight the craving and not give in to it.

If an alcoholic can go 30 years without having a drink, fatties can stop eating twinkies.

I imagine it is hard for alcoholics to not drink too, but they manage it. It might not beeasy, but itissimple.

In all seriousness, people being fat doesn't particularly bother me. People being fat and moaning that it's not their fault, making excuses, overcomplicating it etc gets on my nerves.

I had several strokes
I had a pacemaker
I worked 80 hours a week
I still managed to be strong
I still managed to not be fat

There are no excuses. If somebody is fat and happy, fair play, happy is happy; but shut up about being fat.

Lol watching their longer ad now, it says also that if you drink this tonic you can eat anything you want in any amounts anytime and still be lean.

And fitness industry doesn’t want you to see this ad!

I don't think about big people very often but of all of the friends and family that you have, how many have had great results and long term results.
What percentage and how old were they?

But aren’t alcoholics that stay long term sober extremely rare?

I’m not disagreeing with you, that it’s a matter of willpower. But if the amount of willpower needed is greater than like 99 percent of people possess, do you attribute their failure to a personality defect?

I attribute it to excuses.

You are no longer allowed to "fat shame", we have the "healthy at any size" and "body positive" movements.

Nothing is anybody's fault anymore and they have managed to turn being a fatass in to another form of victimhood where they aren't responsible.

McDonalds is responsible for them being fat, not them deciding to go to mcdonalds, going to mcdonalds, buying mcdonalds and then eating mcdonalds. No, it's mcdonalds fault.

The fat epidemic, the rise of snowflakes and trigger warnings etc is all a symptom of society becoming filled with weak people.

I don't dislike them for being fat, I dislike them for beingweak.

It’s worth noting that for many people eating carbohydrates simply makes them more hungry, causing them to overeat total calories for the day, so if you know someone who is struggling to lose weight chances are these are the people I’m talking about, they have to do intermittent fasting and a healthy keto, there are some other herbs and nutritional strategies that further help them control those initial cravings for the first few days, After that they’re home free,

Basically these are people with genetically or with developed poor insulin sensitivity, once they lose the fat they can sometimes even re-introduce a reasonable amount of carbohydrates and not feel those endless cravings and energy crashes,

It is relevant..... because this theoretical debate/discussion about motivation, drive and mental fortitude should have some real life examples of winners.

In my family? Nobody diets, nor is obese, I would say a bit overweight tho.

I have seen great results in people who went the low carb and/or fasting route.

For me personally I felt and looked my best when I just ate insane amounts of protein, about 1.5g/lb, reasonably high fat, and almost no carbs, and only liek eating 1x or twice a day, around maintenance calories. But I know people who will murder you if you take their fruit and rice away. And they do great on that stuff, they look great too. For me rice and fruit is nothing but a way to get really hungry and then really sleepy.

You know, usually I’m all for the “no easy outs, put forth effort” mindset, but if there were a pill to eradicate appetite or passively burn fat, I’d be all for people taking it if it really existed. I mean, besides dnp
