Anyone just give no fuqs about America now?

Pre-covid I was all about being a better person to the community and contributing to the success of America.

Being single and in business, my taxes are high. I always coped from a great quote I heard one time - "It is a privilege to pay a lot of taxes."

Now, I will do everything I can to pay as little taxes as possible.

I have 15k in federal student loans. If I was to vote in 2019 between cancelling the loans or not, I would pick not to cancel them without hesitation.

2022, I am picking to cancel them and flaunting the cash in tradie's faces.

I have always been someone who smiles at people on the street when walking by. Especially old people because they are usually more receptive. I may even say hi at times if the person looks receptive.

Now if someone said hi to me, I would just bert stare or walk without acknowledging.

US got outted as being the worlds biggest stealer of funds and the biggest poocies because of the war in Ukraine. With the amount of sanctions and proganda thrown out against the Russians, you'd think Ukraine was one of the US's greatest allies or sumtn.

I am so demoralized that I could see a news article about someone getting shot or something and not give af. Wouldn't even click on it, would just subconsciously scroll past it.

All you can do now is focus on yourself and the people around you that you trust and look for an exit. When over half the country was onboard with mandatory vaccinations and stripping people of their livelihoods for not complying, it was at that moment I knew it was every man for himself. a lot of people get progressively more bitter as they age. sounds like that's what's happening to you.

it's hard. unless you're on a path and you know what you're doing or at least what you wanna do and have somewhat of a plan, it's very easy to become miserable. even when you're on the path, it's easy to fall into misery. buddha said life is suffering a long time ago.

Yup. This country is just a future corrupt socialist chithole. At least half the people around you, including some of your own family, are voting for/pushing an agenda that will destroy the all of our quality of life. Most are too dumb to realize it.
