Rat dog + guard dog

Gotten 2 baby mice and one adolescent in sticky traps and had a chipmunk they died from poisons. Possibly dead poisoned adult mice in walls. House has been vacant and under remodel.

Out in the woods so while one option might be put like 6 poison traps around outside of house. Was thinking of getting a Norfolk or jack russel terrier as a buddy for the bullmastiff and means of rodent control in the house. Wife is allergic and absolutely hates cats as much as rodents and wouldn’t even go for a barn cat. But these terriers don’t fuk around with the varmints. And would have a big buddy to help keep and eye on him.
