I pull into the gas station this morning to fill up my Raptor. I notice the person before me pumped 6 dollars worth of gas. WTF? That might get a person out of the parking lot? I look around at the other pumps around me. $8 in gas, $10 in gas, and $9 dollars in gas. I stood there as I was waiting for my truck to fill up thinking what is going on???? Then it hit me like a ton of bricks......rents due tomorrow and rentcels are scraping. I should have felt sad but I just LOL'd and felt satisfied knowing checks will be rolling in starting tomorrow.

I see people walking up the road now with gallon gas cans because they are scraping that hard to get by....letting their cars run out of fuking fuel. Imagine not being able to afford a 100 dollar fillup weekly. It amazes me how bad people are with money including my own family members. I literally don't even look at diesel prices and they're a dollar or more over what gas costs. It amazes me people are that poor, yet doing uber eats and eating out daily. Priorities are all out of wack. Why TF you in the club if you have no money for rent.

Some people blame the failure that is the modern education system - a cursory look at Gen Z(ero) tells the tale.

However, who have you ever known that needed to be taught that "having savings is a good thing"? Folks tell me sometimes "Hey, LogicalLifts, we didn't need to learn X and Y in school. Someone should have taught ushow to invest."

A lot of the landlordhate we see today is, in all honesty, from folks who never jumped on the real estate gravy train. For the folks who were born into families paying rent, 'paying rent' is itself a norm (unless they buy properties themselves). A lot of the vitriol is, for lack of a better word, copium.

I've got a couple friends who are starting to get worried about the serviceability of their mortgage with interest rate increases.
But these are the same people who I warned about buying more expensive houses during a time we had historically low interest rates.
