Grandmother died today

They lived up north and never really had any type relationship with them. My mom doesn’t even want a funeral. Just a quick burial with no visitors. All of my grandparents are now passed. Life has passed. It’s sad to think about

I'm sorry man.

It's rough as you get older. I barely had a relationship with any of mine... all long gone now. Remember my mom asking me to write her mom letters when I was a kid, and I never wanted to

It was worse with my dads mother. She lived with us most of my life but I moved out right as she got older. I rarely came back to visit because I worked so much. She would be so happy to see me when I did. She had to have random nurses watch her and sone black lady beat her up and broke her arm but she would never say anything about it. Luckily she landed a nice nurse for her last year though.

Yea I didn't feel anything when my grandparents passed away. Guess that's just how it is when you don't maintain contact.

Lost my last living grandma a few months ago. We were very close kinda similar to your situation. Even if you weren't there very much towards the end she probably knows why, life gets hectic man. And those times you saw her she knew you were doing it just cause you loved her and wanted to be with her. Every time you called her or answered her call all of those little things mean a lot.
