If you needed 10k cash ASAP

Would you be able to get it from your bank account with no issues?

The median savings for 20-30's is about 3-4k

No, I'm not a degenerate so I'd never have the need to come up with fast cash. Chances are if you need that much money on the spot you've done something wrong or are about to make an impulse buy

I would have to liquidate, so not ASAP, but in a couple business days without external help, yes.

I only keep around 5-6k in my checking account

Yeah I have 10k in savings. Everything else is invested.

It obliterates my mind so few people have at least a few months expenses saved up. It's part of being a responsible adult ffs. Just stop buying dumb **** for a little while.

We usually keep $8k-$12k at the ready, just in case.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Actually just went through this twice this year..10k exactly.

1)Wife's mom was in the hospital, there was an issue with the insurance and they refused to treat her unless we poney'd up 10K. We did, they treated her, we got the money back, mother-in-law passed, we reported them, they are being investigated for this crime and similar ones currently

2)Dog had to go under operation, cost is 10k, have pet insurance but you still need to pay upfront. Paid, operation performed, dog is good, we got $8,500 back.

If by bank account you mean sell some assets and transfer to my bank account within a day or two then yes

Lmao at keeping money in your bank account doing nothing.

I mean unless some bookie is threatening to cut your balls off if you keep ducking them any longer than 24 hours there’s legit 0 situation where you need to produce that much money on the spot without notice.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Yes. I can get it two ways easy. One from my bank, but if my bank freezes or a bank run shuts it down, I can sell some shiny for it quick.

$10k has been my minimum checking balance since I was probably.... 17? Not even kidding.

My parents were nazi's about me saving money, so I've literally never paid a penny of interest in my life and have never had "no money" not even in my early 20's in college.

My brother is absurd, he probably never had less than $30k since he was like 17. ded fukin srs.

That's racist. Pepperoni nips matter.

But yeah, we usually try and keep about $10-15k liquid in case of emergency. Anything more than that is a waste of investment capital.

Could do 30k from account, and another 180k from line of credit. Not sure the bank would give me that much cash, but if necessary, could swing it.
