Can someone explain something regarding crypto/bitcoin? Especially enthusiasts...

I am with an open mind to this because many things soyciety adopts in an incremental fashion and it takes time. So I don't want any rebuttals that it is a scam.

But, a few things I don't get when talking to bitcoin/"crypto will be the next and only payment" enthusiasts.

a) Money is not backed by anything - this is not true because society collectively agrees on its value. Law/justice system is made up, backed by nothing other than collective agreement of society. But it matters.

b) Processing transactions takes a lot more energy/time benchmarked against current.

Only thing they mention that makes me think is - does it give the peasants more control over money and prevent Big GOV to use money printing etc to control how much it is worth.

I am not sure if that works? Wouldn't GloboHomo Gov-max find a way to cuck this? When they regulate it will become centralised tied to IDs etc.

In Russia, payments with crypto are banned. You can still trade it but how can you buy a nice steak?
communist until you get rich
rightwing until financially secure
atheist until the plane starts falling
slootist until you get married
muslim after you get married
