I drink coffee and can legit stop for months whenever I feel like it. If you want to talk about addiction talk about internet surfing/social media... That's 1000000 times more dangerous than coffee.

Legitimately good parody thread. I like it.

To the thread topic, you're not wrong. Drinking significant amounts of coffee means...

- Stinky coffee breath (yes, it happens even to hot women who drink coffee despite them thinking it doesn't)
- Having to piss every 30 - 60 minutes
- Coffee piss smells awful enough peel paint right as it comes out
- Coffee pots are an annoying mess, especially if making it just for 1 person
- 90% of coffees taste like asss without some sort of creamer
- Coffee creamers can easily add hundreds of calories to a few cups if you're not careful
- Keurigs are giant ugly contraptions in a home kitchen
- keurigs take an annoyingly long time to deal with in an office/work setting

- There's always 1 or 2 retarded chicks in their 20's making a complete disaster zone out of Keurigs and everything within a 6 foot radius of them by insisting on using those "reusable k-cups" in any work setting that has one. They do it to "save money" even though they spend a total of $15 - $20 /day driving to a Starbucks that's completely out of their way for a $7 coffee drink, $5+ pastry for breakfast, and gas money.

I can attest to this. Crazy to see all the sheep of the world depending on a cup full of bean juice to function in the morning. That's right, coffee is just burned bean juice!

Humans are suppose to have enough energy to get through an entire day without magical beans. People's dependence on coffee can't be healthy.

Green smoothies is where it's at. One of those and Im good for the whole day.

true.

more reasons for people drinking coffee:
- feeling like they are adulting
- drink it for warmth but associate it with coffee

smoothies are where it's at for sure. healthy and it tastes delicious. smoothie > coffee, any day.

Recent studies found that coffee drinkers are less likely to die from some of the leading causes of death in women: coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease.

Your body may process glucose (or sugar) better.
That’s the theory behind studies that found that people who drink more coffee are less likely to get type 2 diabetes.

You're less likely to develop heart failure.
Drinking one to two cups of coffee a day may help ward off heart failure, when a weakened heart has difficulty pumping enough blood to the body.

You are less likely to develop Parkinson's disease.
Caffeine is not only linked to a lower chance of developing Parkinson’s disease, but it may also help those with the condition better control their movements.

Your liver will thank you.
Both regular and decaf coffee seem to have a protective effect on your liver. Research shows that coffee drinkers are more likely to have liver enzyme levels within a healthy range than people who don’t drink coffee.

Your DNA will be stronger.
Dark roast coffee decreases breakage in DNA strands, which occur naturally but can lead to cancer or tumors if not repaired by your cells.

Your odds of getting colon cancer will go way down.
One in 23 women develop colon cancer. But researchers found that coffee drinkers — decaf or regular — were 26 percent less likely to develop colorectal cancer.

You may decrease your risk of getting Alzheimer's disease.
Almost two-thirds of Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease are women. But the caffeine in two cups of coffee may provide significant protection against developing the condition. In fact, researchers found that women age 65 and older who drank two to three cups of coffee a day were less likely to develop dementia in general.

You're not as likely to suffer a stroke.
For women, drinking at least one cup of coffee a day is associated with lowered stroke risk, which is the fourth leading cause of death in women.

When newer studies adjusted for such factors, they found a possible association between coffee and decreased mortality. Coffee may offer some protection against:

Parkinson's disease
Type 2 diabetes
Liver disease, including liver cancer
Heart attack and stroke
Coffee still has potential risks, mostly due to its high caffeine content. For example, it can temporarily raise blood pressure. Women who are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding need to be cautious about caffeine. High intake of boiled, unfiltered coffee has been associated with mild increase in cholesterol levels.

The bottom line? Your coffee habit is probably fine and may even have some benefits. But if you have side effects from coffee, such as heartburn, nervousness or insomnia, consider cutting back.

OP didn't state what he does for a living. Real easy to brag about not needing stimulants when you work a normal sedentary desk job but the truth is a lot of high level jobs require insane focus & can be much easier achieved with a mild upper in your system

Coffee is an allergen and a stimulant. If you enjoy sneezing and having your thyroid removed later in life, by all means drink that garbage, nobody cares.

How much coffee do you usually drink? For me it’s 1 cup. I could go without it for weeks and not notice a difference. I just enjoy the taste of coffee.
