Dead srs, Satan is probably the good guy

- God (Christian God) creates angels and all life and requires them to praise him. Weird af, strong insecurity.
- God says if you don't do that, he's going to eternally torture you or end your life in some fashion.
- God creates conditions where he says it's a choice of either serving him or not, but that's not actually the choice. The question of whether he exists or not in the first place is more pressing of an issue. How can he rightly then justify murder of his creation when we don't even know "it" exists in the first place?
- brb many religions claim to have the "truth" and "know" it's the truth. Many religious people of all affiliations have "experiences". Doesn't prove chit and muddies the water even more.
- The above doesn't make logical sense, because God can do whatever he wants. It's his "will", he sets the "rules". But there's no consistency, because it's beyond our comprehension as human beings. So when God says he is "love", his "love" is so far beyond our understanding it's actually pointless to consider it "love". brb making bugs that feed off of starving African kids eyes. brb all the debilitating diseases.
- brb cancer
- God is sick is the ****ing head
- Satan most likely say all this nonsense and wanted to just die
- Satan amasses a crew of "1/3 of all the angels" - says it in the bible, who rebel.
- If Satan didn't have a good point to make, then why did 1/3 of all angels chose to follow him to death?
- Satan makes a claim that we don't need to serve God
- God then cripples us to show us that actually we do need him.
- The game is rigged in favor of God
- God is a ****ing ****ggot

Dead fkn srs, if any Christian ****ggs want to challenge me, I'll prove categorically, and from your own Bible that he is unhinged af and isn't worthy of praise. He's fkd in the head brahs

dead fkn srs this is the real tea

Many of the original Christians believed this, the gnostics. This "heresy" was addressed by 4th Century early Christian councils and it is known as "Marcionism" where the God of the Old Testament is not the same as the God of the New Testament and is evil.

I used to be a Christian, till I read books like Joshua, Chronicles, Esther etc and the amount of genocide in it I JFL and noped outta there. I read the Orthodox study bible and the scholarly commentary on the meanings of those books didn't cut it for me. Very animalistic and tribal, it makes me understand why Jewish religion in his Rabbinic form is racial laws made into a religion. Hardly transcendent, just tribe/race wars.

Have literally spent hundreds of hours watching Orthodox Hermeneutics and Theology lectures, what a fukkin waste of time.

Although I do like some of the writings of the early Church fathers.

Your timeline is off. Satan wanted to overthrow God and become ruler for himself, it wasn’t about “all this is nonsense”. Then when he got rekt him and his followers were cast away. So the best way for him to get back at God is to corrupt the hearts of men and increase suffering in this world. Mankind has caused more suffering for himself than any natural occurrence like bugs. And when you follow the guidance of God that suffering is reduced. When you disregard it, or knowingly go against it you increase suffering. It’s really that simple.

Like mentioned above, that's largely one of the thing the Gnostics teach (that's a massive oversimplification though).

Who crippled us again?

Not Satan. And Satan makes a good point, how do we know out potential as humans and whether or not we actually "need" God when we're crippled (by God)?

As for the timeline, Satan and his crew likely say how fkn crazy the guy was and wanted to just die

Am aware, it's something to consider seeing as there is a stark different between the accounts.

Also, Jesus, whether he be Human, God or and Angel is very different to the God of the OT.

Indeed brah. God can influence mankind, and he could have influenced the Amalekites, Hittites etc all those tribes and peoples who were in the "promised land" to leave it for the Hebews to settle. Instead though, he doesn't do that and wants his Hebrews to slaughter the men, women, children and cattle. With the sword.

He even extends daylight so the Hebrews can continue their slaughter.

Also why are you taking the Bible as an authority figure when it has clear contradictions in it from scribes, the authors are unknown, and books are missing from it

If you go by the Bible then Satan did cripple us by convincing Eve to eat from the tree. When you remove God from the equation and allow man to guide himself you end up with ClownWorld 100% of the time every time, which we are seeing yet again in todays world. A healthy relationship with God is a key part of an optimal human experience.

It's almost as if this God and chosen narrative was created by Jewish elites as a way to galvanize support and create radical soldiers to steal land and resources for them. No way!

Plato in the Republic speaks about how you change and create cultural myths and religions in order to get the population to do what you want.

Why would a Roman Emperor Constantine want a Christian religious system of peace and reciprocity in his empire? Because peaceful docile citizens make it easier to maintain your hegemonic power. You want to rule over sheep not lions.

Eve was "thoroughly deceived" and yet it was mankind that was crippled. Adam knew it wasn't fair so purposely chose to end his life, knowing that God would murder his wife even though it was no fault of her own. Satan simply forced God's hand to show how unjust he actually is. The first #metoo expose

If God exists and has all these parameters and rules that he requires and you get something out of it, you're doing it because you get something out of it. Not because you like the guy. He rewards those who give him unjust praise. It's an abuse dynamic. He's made us dependent on him. There is no love there. It's an entity that doesn't care, or at least to out understanding of compassion or empathy. It doesn't line up. Not even close.

Yes?

That's literally the only information we have to go by. Using your logic I'll say that Moloch (the child sacrifice God) was good because the bible said he's bad.

Is deceiving people to leave paradise good according to you? Regardless of whether you think God is unjust Satan obviously knew the consequences seeing as he was kicked out of heaven himself. He aint a good bloke

If God is real, I hope it isn't like most of the main versions we follow.

Edit: Ready some more replies in here. What strikes me as odd is God supposedly loves us and we're his children, but many of us have children. How many of us would choose to have our children remain ignorant, and blindly worship us for all of eternity because we had them?

I mean, supposedly we're made in his image, and supposedly we have knowledge of good and evil. With this knowledge, having kids just so they can worship you and punishing them literally forever if they don't seems.......evil.
I'm back, bitches!

For the sake of argument, the Judeo-Christian God is mad af.
According to the Gnostic interpretation the tree of Knowledge was essentially a positive thing, and the serpent encouraging to partake of it was trying to "help" us along. Why would the "elohim" (plural) not want us to attain knowledge and keep us in ignorance? The amount of mental gymnastics and cope that people come up with to justify this nonsense and "God's will" (full of Anthropomorphic character flaws - yet is supposed to be a "perfect" being) is silly.

I won't even bother with getting into the History of Yahweh, El, and the Elohim - it's an interesting topic if you want to research it more though.

It's all about business. The Christian church condemns Satan and magick because they know people will get powerful with those forces and be able to manifest the things they want in life. Afterwards they'll have no need for the church/pastor, they won't be paying any tithe and the church goes under.

I agree with you mostly. Knowledge is power and if we look at the history of the Catholic church in its worldwide conquest it destroyed many cultures and traditions, even burning "witches" at the stake. I wonder what knowledge they had to be targeted like that.

Gnostics at least have the impetus that knowledge "saves", which is true. Nowadays people let the state "educate" their children and don't question anything.
