DB shoulder press: left side GROSSLY weaker
I did 50lb DB overhead presses a few days ago.
Got 8 reps on right side easy
Got 6 reps on left side hard and bad form
What the fuk is this?
I was just doing 40lb dumbbell overhead presses last week with 0 issues like this... maybe I jumped too quick in weight

If you can only do 6-8 reps with dumbbells you are using too much weight. I've seen videos of guys going to snap city shoulder pressing and chest pressing dumbbells too heavy. (Typically dislocations). Furthermore the fact that you have light dumbbells and are struggling to rep them is another indicator of danger.
Until you can rep the 40s for 3-4 sets of 13-15 reps with good form. Don't go up in weight.
When it comes to DB's I typically prefer to stay in the 10-15 rep range. Most gyms only carry DB's up to around 120lbs anyways so there is no real reason to focus on low rep ranges with them.

You are probably just not used to the motion, keep doing it but lower the weight. Going to get hurt if you only hitting 6 with a wobbly db
