why do most modern people only get free time when they're old?

kinda sucks doesn't it if you're a 'normie'

you spend your prime working hard and living unhealthy lifestyles to obtain money/status/wealth/etc/whatever, then when it comes time when you have free time and money you're too old to properly enjoy a lot of ****.

another one. this is gonna sound ****ed up but women having careers isn't good for society. we should be living more traditionally. why are women waiting until they're late 30s to have children lol? should be having them as early as possible. it sounds ****ed up but looking at that pic some homie posted of Kim K when she was 14

I didn’t get baby fever until I hit 30. I had no desire to have kids in my 20s and we basically went scuba diving all around the Caribbean with 2 good incomes.

I don’t regret that one bit. It was an exciting way to live and then my 30s and 40s were for raising a child.

Many women in my area are waiting until 40 to have a child. The problem there is that many run into infertility.

I've had 1 vacation in 4 years. The only other times I had free time is taking an extra day for a long weekend for bachelor parties and weddings.

Yea, I need a long vacation/free time tbh. Even just 2 weeks completely off to just refuel my life force that has been sucked from my body from working 5-6 days a week and dealing with society the past 2 years where I was a maskless pureblood being shunned from society and family.

i have the opposite problem. Too much free time. 40 hour work weeks are not enough to preventing LDARing more than I would like.

This seems simple assuming you're somewhat responsible.

Investing is most advantageous when you're young because the more time your money is invested the more it can compound.

So its best to work hard when you're young.

Boxer – A loyal, kind, dedicated, extremely strong, hard-working, and respectable cart-horse, although quite naive and gullible.[27] Boxer does a large share of the physical labour on the farm. He is shown to hold the belief that "Napoleon is always right". At one point, he had challenged Squealer's statement that Snowball was always against the welfare of the farm, earning him an attack from Napoleon's dogs. But Boxer's immense strength repels the attack, worrying the pigs that their authority can be challenged. Boxer has been compared to Alexey Stakhanov, a diligent and enthusiastic role model of the Stakhanovite movement.[28] He has been described as "faithful and strong";[29] he believes any problem can be solved if he works harder.[30] When Boxer is injured, Napoleon sells him to a local knacker to buy himself whisky, and Squealer gives a moving account, falsifying Boxer's death.

Most Americans are stupid.

They have this idea that working 60-70 hours a week, being in debt, needing that McMansion makes them something.

Their entire life is looking good to their neighbors, and supporting a fat pig wife who needs that new Coach purse every month. Their motivation is this skewed sense of looking "cool" to people they don't even know.

We see it on this site. "I just bought new Ford Raptor. You mirin?" Etc...

To answer the title: Because once you're old you're not as useful to society and are at greater risks of health issues. So go off grandpa/grandma and enjoy your free time.

That said, I read some posts ITT and wanna emphasize how idiotic it is to have kids/marriage when you're in your twenties. Knew a girl in my high school who got pregnant and had a baby at the age of 16, baby daddy wasn't willing to be in the picture. She finds some dude later and has 2-3 kids with him, pretty sure they married. Now he's no longer around either. Now this girl is 27 with 3 or 4 kids and posting thotty chit on social media 24/7 to try to lure in another man like a black widow.

That's why you make most of life now. I'm always doing hobbies, being social with friends, hang out with GF, play with my dog, take 3-4 vacations a year, wrench of my muscle car. Gotta get out of that hustle mindset once you've made it in your career. From then on, you just coast. But jmo on how I live my life.

I work in my free time, but its on my own projects at my own pace, away from all external distractions. but i wouldnt be able to do this on a typicall 40hr 5 day work week year round.

40hr 5 day was designed to keep you completely dependent on your job/society. its basically life on a short leash.

poor financial decisions (having kids, getting married, divorce, mortgage, loans, bad investments, buying chit they don't need, etc). in my culture, people spend like $50k on weddings alone lol.

or they're just straight up career-cels and work all day/night and live that office 9-5 lifestyle with no care for free time. these are the parents that miss their kids basketball games. the kind of people who can't even watch a movie at night because they'd rather respond to some emails or whatever.

IMO time is more valuable than money. I'd rather make little $ but have so much free time to have fun and explore hobbies and stuff. the happiest people are out there surfing and mountain bike riding, having a blast, and they don't give af about living a normal life (wife, kids, picket white fence house, etc). They're just living on the road with all the time in the world, working odd jobs here and there to support themselves. It sounds like a dream.

I wouldn't blame the individual, totally. society expects people to do these things, the school/education system trains us to sit at a desks and work until we're old and frail. culture/parenting plays a huge part. My parents/family for sure values me working and having a job/career over me just camping out and living wild and free. same thing with the pressure to get married and make other poor $$$ decisions.

Totally agree, you have to have interests, friends an inquiring mind and keep physically active to cope with all that time. If you have none of this you go down hill fast, I've seen it happen!

Because most people are cucks

I work at a restaurant and talk to a LOT of older people, lots of them on vacation

They always talk about how they wish they had lived more when they were younger instead of just wage slaving

I’m planning to take six months off next year to travel and every single one says to do it and they wish they had done more stuff like that while young

I always wonder about that when I see those $100k trucks. I think apr is capped in the 20s%, I doubt they're getting that kind of a rate on something so expensive. Usually rates that high are only given out at ghetto used car lots, no?

Can't just judge everyone by what they own. I know guys with just a ****load of cash that have gone drop 100K on a blinged out F250. Or who own a business and go buy a blinged out F250 as a business expense.

A lot of them are most likely tax write offs for a business. As far as the interest rate it depends.

My interest rate to finance a vehicle through my credit union is 1.99%. Most dealerships will under-cut that rate if I finance through their preferred lender. I'm debt free except for house but a lot of people have ridiculously low rates. My mom financed her car at .9%.

Its people with **** credit that have high rates.
