Why aren't Christians more judgmental about obesity?
As a Christian you shouldn't judge people, but people get hella fired up about homosexuality, abortion, and premarital sex. Never gluttony...
To me its a commitment to sin, gluttony, just as being a wh0re or homo is; you don't get obese overnight or by accident.
Being in the south I've noticed way too many fat chicks who claim to be committed to church/Christ, and it doesn't make sense to me.

The New Testament for sure encourages people to not judge because you're a sinner too... its impossible to be perfect but that's okay.

Christian here..at least a struggling one. You are correct OP, I can't stand people that are obese and do nothing to try and remedy their situation..my church is full of fit people, srs. It's the goat church, and the only one that refused to shut down, enforce masks, and sued Newsome.

Matthew 7:1-3
King James Version
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 Corinthians 6:20 - For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

“Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?"
To me that means not to judge anyone for a certain reason, when they could come back and judge you for an imperfection

Yeah I'm Christian and I can't stand fat people.
I think people end up getting lazy and rationalize it to themselves one way or another. Try convincing a 50 year old married couple to go on a diet and workout 3x a week when they could just watch TV instead.
Doesn't matter if people are Christian or not, they're all gonna choose the easy option.

with the judgement you pronounce -> you will judged
with the measure you use -> that measure will be applied to you
Even the example is 'something wrong in both your neighbour and your eyes, but you're being a hypocrite for pointing out your neighbour's eye when there's also something, bigger/worse, in your eye'
So the message isn't to never judge, its to judge with Christian love as your harshness in judging will be applied equally harshly to that same fault you have (or something) (imo) (struggling Christian too)
We're all gonna make it.
