The Raid was very good.

Dredd, was weirdly like The Raid but I love the movie.

Taken was also excellent. That is less of an action movie than a thriller but whatever.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a GREAT action movie if you can accept the superhero aspect. If can like John Wick, you can like Captain America.

I was mostly comparing the movies above

I didn;t like the shaky cam of Taken

Winter Soldier was too predictable and I didn't like ScarJo's hair in the movie

I loved Scarjo in it!

I thought the plot was good as I didn't know who the Winter Soldier was.

I did not like how the story was propaganda for the time. It was a big deal in the media that the NSA was monitoring calls, emails, etc. So, the cliches safety vs liberty message was the whole plot.

That was a plot point in Dark Knight too.

What I like about the movie was that it had great nonstop action.

One of the best scenes in a movie is when Captain America realized that he's in trouble as guys keep getting on the elevator. He is noticing all of these signs of anxiety in the guys then says, "Before we begin, would anyone like to get off" and then the fight starts.

He disables a jet with his shield.

Even him and Scarjo walking through a mall was tense.

I also liked how the movie pointed out that Nazis were nothing because there's many more terrible organizations behind the Nazis, the Hydra, then AIM, and so on. It creates a dangerous setting.

There was lots of good action even if the plot had things that annoyed me.

Escape from New York is a great action film.

I was young when that came out and when I finally saw it, it's was really cool.

You have a variety of exciting things going on.

You have a weird post WWII setting.

New York is a death sentence kind of prison facility.

The main character was a war hero turned criminal who was a very nasty person.

The entire setting is nasty and what is going to happen next was uncertain.

John wick second

The equalizer does not deserve to be on the list. It'd hardly an action movie, Denzel barely moves.

I'd add extraction to that list, it had some great action sequences, light-years better then equalizer

Gonna go with Raid 2, but you also didn't mention Commando or Terminator 2. Terminator 2 is by far one of the greatest movies ever made, regardless of being an awesome action movie.
