Cover songs or Alt. Versions better than original or norm.

So what are some cover songs that were better than the original or alternate versions better than the accepted popular version.

Like I preferer this Bob Dylan version of House of the rising sun, better than the Eric burdan and the Animals version that is what most people know and like.

Funny I was gonna post a long list of bob dylan songs covered by other people.

Because despite being one of the best songwriters of the modern era, his music is grating and voice is terrible.

Like this blows that version out of the water rofl

Desolation row is his best work imo

I like his grittyness on the song and even on that whole first album, he shoulda stayed more in the hobo blues genre thats where his voice fits.

another beautiful cover of a Dylan song

Call me crazy, I love SRV, but I actually prefer Jimi's shorter version with the lyrics. One of the most beautiful songs ever written.

Tool's version of "No Quarter" much better than Led Zepplin

Michael Jackson's "Come Together" better than Beatles

Oh and NIN's original "Hurt" is way better than Johnny Cash's version. I don't care what Trent Reznor says. He was just being nice.
