All of my grandparents died before I was 25. Kind of wish I could hear a good story

But, my dad's dad was a total drunk and had serious temper, so we never even saw him. My other grandfather was kind of not around ever because he didn't like my dad (my dad is cool af tbh)

What's it like having a gandfather in your life?

Yeah same here. I was close to one grandmother but we moved and then she ended up dying when I was a teen. My mother's parents lived about 5-10 years longer but also lived far away. My kids have fun with mine and my wife's parents but one set does live pretty far away as well.
