Sloots who use filters for social media

Do they not realize that this just screams mental illness? Do they not care? Basically saying that they aren't content with how they look in real life, so they try to "trick" themselves and the viewer that they look a certain way. But its obvious af and they aren't fooling anyone. Are they that retarded? fkn sloots man

Quit bitching about social media if you're unwilling to quit it. I've been off social media since like 2012 excluding a brief 1-year stint where I tried fb again a few years ago before realizing it was even worse than before.

Gotta be willing to put your money where your mouth is it you want to be taken seriously about it. Plus, if social media bs really rustles ya that much (I hate that bs, too), then you'll be a lot happier without it. I chit you not, after 1 - 2 weeks of being away from social media, you'll wonder why you didn't quit way sooner.

Have a friend who does that. It makes her look like she has the smoothest face ever and change the shape. She just posted a filter photo of her and her kid. Her kid looks so weird and alien like in the photo because of the filter. She literally would rather make herself look younger while making her kid look like a weird alien for validation.

Filters don't do as much as guys seem to think. It just makes your pic look a little more professional and your make up pop more. I'm perfectly happy with what I look like in real life and often post no filter selfies. Ppl can't really tell. Life is too short to care so much about irrelevant things.

Filters change bone structure and make your skin look unrealistic (cartoonish). It's very easy to tell the difference between a girl's candid photos and the ones she has applied a filter to. I don't waste my time concerning myself with filters, but to act like the filters are barely altering the photo is a lie.

Girls don't realise that filters

A) Make the photo look **** quality
B) Makes you look more ugly than a normal photo - because guys aren't aware of how much it changes
C) Makes you look insecure af

Also, I remember seeing a study where guys and girls didn't trust people who obviously used them as much as people who had non-filtered pictures.

Girls (cos lets face it, it's always girls) who have ONLY filtered pictures on social media scream red flags / mental health / low self esteem / insecurity issues.

I mean go to my photo gallery and you'll see there isn't much difference if you already have nice skin, nice lips, nice facial structure, etc. I didn't want to point this out, because it might offend some ppl, but filters only are like what you stated if the person had alot of flaws, acne, scars, or a bad face structure to begin with. Girls and guys have been catfishing online well before filters came out. So it isn't the filter that is the problem, it is the ppl who catfish in general that are.

Only changes alot if you have alot to change. Plus, every girl uses them now, so you have to use them in a way. I'd prefer ppl be their authentic self, though, but either way if you really like someone you don't really care if they aren't perfect.

Interesting you say you think it makes them look worse. But perhaps that's a good thing. I think they're fun, but I do like to not use them on occasion just so ppl know I'm not trying to fish. There are some crazy af ones on IG that make you look insane. I like to copy the make up from those. All in all if you like them better without it that's a win for you.

I'm not saying it's not possible, but you'd need to do an actual data analysis to prove that statement. I don't know whether you're right or not, but most ppl in general are mentally ill and traumatized to some capacity.
