Rings of Power - shows how stupid people are?[spoilers]

Was it supposed to be a shocking reveal that the southlands was mordor?

is it going to be a shocking reveal about who gandalf and sauron are too?

is this just how stupid people are now they didnt pretty much understand this from the start when they were introduced? I guess Sauron could be SLIGHTLY harder to get right off the bat but even them, come the fuk on with how low IQ this writing has been it should have been obvious.

Still like the show for entertainment but its like watching the original, you already read the books so it was just seeing the story played out beautifully.

But then when they did the whole "the southlands" changed to "Mordor" it made me wonder if people dont know these things as soon as they appeared in the show?

Recently rewatched the LOTR trilogy. Had almost forgotten how incredible those movies are. Will probably never watch this new show as it's not possible it'll live up.
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*

Yeah I think its pretty obvious who they are.

Starting to enjoy the show more, wasn't really in to it the first few episodes. The story around Galadriel and the Numenoreans is pretty good. The hobbit people and Elrond are still pretty boring tbh, though Durin is a pretty cool dude. If the Stranger guy (Gandalf) wasn't with the hobbit people I'd just fast-forward through their scenes since they do nothing.

What's with thee hobbits migrating? Real hobbits never traveled anywhere by rule of thumb.

these were likely the first hobbits before the LotR and "the hobbit" hobbits, they were a pretty new race i mean Smeagul was taller and looked different than LotR hobbits (this was ACTUALLY written in the books and intended in both the book sand the movies, so its part of the official lore)

The show is FAR less Woke than people think it is, honestly I dont notice anything woke about it past the first episode, its actually just pretty much VERY high budget film making and story line decently consistent

I haven't watched in 3 weeks but I still give angry Joe and critical drinker a view when they roast the latest episode.

Amazing its a 100 percent consensus on all the youtube guys I watch that RoP is trash and House of the Dragon is excellent.

that really is interesting to me. House of Dragons seems overly woke and it jumps all over the place and its kind of just a frustrating show that never delivers when you want it and the best characters dont do chit and so much child sex stuff its borderline disturbing, like literally 10x as many child sex scenes as adult, wtf.....

Then RoP is mostly 95% un woke just normal storytelling

I've been saying this for a while, I 100% expect Sauron to be a transexual. It goes entirely with the overall theme of Rings of Power, zero chance Sauron isn't a tranny.

House of Dragons is GOAT, legitimately look forward to Sundays to watch the new episodes. I have been keeping up with Rings of Power too, but I might stop soon, its just painful and I know it won't get any better

Empowering queens and princesses? Royal families have been marrying each other for thousands of years, keep the wealth in the family. Degens have been around since the beginning of time. I’m not sure what kind of show you wanted them to put out that wouldn’t have some inkling of liberal politics/any politics of the past 5,000 years.

They clearly only care about making good looking visuals

The writing on the show is really bad

It's like they just went with the first draft of someone who never read the books and had only seen the Peter Jackson movies for reference

So many plot holes and character inconsistencies that I don't know how anyone signed off on these scripts

Stopped watching HoD at episode 7. Just way too boring and every episode is a repeat of the other. Actor/Actress changes didn't help either. Brb this family wants the throne, brb this fam is manipulating me to get their offspring to marry into royalty, brb this member of the fam banged their sister, brb every scene is 92 seconds long in slow motion for dramatic effect.

Still watching Oh Muh Lawd Dem Rangz, I kind of like it not going to lie. So far so good.

but we got to possibly see a Valar or Maiar or both because of them. Honestly been some pretty cool chit in this. We got to see the creation of mordor, will get to see the rebirth of Sauron im sure, hopefully how he built up mordor with shelob and the towers there. They could have some pretty cool chit in store for us with how much they have shown in this one, they have shown some stuff many fans have wanted to see put into the films forever.

You're literally an idiot. All of the intrigue is based on the war of the roses. And dance of the dragons was most certainly written by g.r.r.m.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with both George R.R. Martin’s stories and Medieval English history that the wars of Westeros draw heavily from the battles of Britain for inspiration. These parallels are usually obvious: Aegon’s Conquest is the Norman Invasion, the Dance with Dragons is the Anarchy, Robert’s Rebellion is the Wars of the Roses, and the War of the Five Kings is… well, the Wars of the Roses.
