Losing 21 lbs for vacation in 3 weeks

Anyone done a cut speed run? I went wild with fast food and now set a goal of dropping 21 lbs for a November vacay. Going to be hard lmao. Strategy so far is not counting calories but just eating very little and adding a 30 minute HIIT session to the end of my workouts.

PPL 2x a week.
6x HIIT 30 min at the end of each day.
Light/Medium weights, moderate to high reps (12-20 reps, some giant sets for hack squats like 60 reps)

food: black coffee, 1-2 cups a day + lowish carb high protein foods.

Starting weight 246lbs today.

End weight 225lbs 3rd of next month.

Let's get this money boys and girls. If I don't update, I've fallen off the wagon and will go as a fat whale who is afraid to take off the shirt.

So you plan to be in a 3500cal deficit every single day for 21 days straight?

okay.

When this doesn't work out for you please update this thread so no newbies ever try this.

Or you can be smart and scale back to a 1200cal daily deficit (already pretty fukking aggressive in terms of cutting w/any semblance of desire to maintain muscle mass), drop 7lbs (and a bunch of water) and then just sodium/water manipulate prior to whatever day(s) you intend to be shirtless.

No hate, not meant to sound harsh. Just not a smart plan, OP.

Not realistic. Better to aim for 5-10lbs by November and then when you finally get lean don't bloat up like an idiot again.

It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

You'll lose muscle and just gain the weight all back so think about it long term if it's worth it?

The food will taste so good on vacation after starving yourself that it's just how our bodies prevent starvation--by craving high calories foods.

Don't go by lbs--go by body fat %.

Not a realistic or healthy goal IMO. You're going to hate life, but PSMF is probably the best path if you're dead set on dropping that much weight fast.

Yes, I reckon it'll be around 7lbs of actual weight and the rest will be water. 3500/day is too much even though my daily maintenance is around that mark.

I did PSMF before for 2 or 3 months and lost 31lbs when I was a lardass at 280lbs. Kept it off until now. I know the hardest thing is to not gain it all back, not the losing part.

Where you going brah ? Realistically, Keto diet and IF can help you loose ~15-18 pounds in 20 days. If you want to loose more, maybe you can try water fasting. Not sure if that would align with your goals though.

You can do it!

It probably won't be good for you, but at least you'll look good in a 2-piece.

I would try a modified PSMF, maybe just sardines and water until then.

I edited my post earlier to clarify, "You'll lose muscle and just gain the weight all back so think about it long term if it's worth it?".

Yes you lose muscle when you crash diet, plus most likely you'll gain the weight back plus moar.

How do you know? Most medical professionals recommend no moar than 2 lbs of weight loss per week. This article says .5-1 lb per week.

https://fitbod.me/blog/lose-fat-without-losing-muscle/

Plus you risk binge eating when you go too low in calorie restriction and overexercise. It's just not worth it to make yourself miserable restricting only then to do crazy things like go to the grocery store and buy Twinkies like a madman.

I've cycled through anorexia, bulimia and binge eating most of my adult life. Crash dieting is for the birds.

lol @ eating very little.

but who was body setpoint and metabolic adaptation?

I drop 15lbs+ and gain muscle all the time in a few weeks. No cardio or anything too crazy either. Lift first thing in the morning. Fast during the day and I’ll eat something like 2/3lb of a higher fat beef over a bed of rice with a vegetable. With the higher fat content, I feel full and satisfied.

I lack the discipline to diet to shredded levels so I don’t have much weight loss advice. But just to nitpick, a giant set isn’t just a lot of reps. It’s a bunch of different exercises back to back like in a circuit.

It's simply not physiologically possible to lose 21lbs in 21 days without losing muscle, excluding people on steroids.

Depends on how fat you are. If you're mid to high 20s in bodyfat it's possible, but will suck. I also wouldn't recommend doing so much HIIT and such, unless you don't mind putting yourself at risk of injury from being severely depleted. (Ded fkn Srs)

All gucci moniker, I use the RP definition of giant sets but traditionally people used them for many exercises indeed. For me giant sets is a large number of sets achieved by however many sets it takes, also called "marathon sets" by some.

Weight update as well. Carried a lot of water weight because had KFC before starting the challenge. Also I'm pretty high bf% so not going from 14 to 8% but starting at around 20-25%. Plenty of fat to lose lol.

I fasted for a month and dropped 20 lbs.

Didnt work out or do anything physically strenuous after a week due to being too weak but I still went on walks. Just shut your pie hole it’s pretty simple.

This never works

You’re better off eating normal or at a sane deficit without fking up your hormone levels and being mentally well at your vacation. No one will visually be able to tell the difference between your 3 weeks of crash diet anyways, besides yourself. Take this as a lesson going forward to not let your guard down being a bloatmaxx boyo
