"They say" 4/5 years, same job without a promotion, looks bad. So at that point, if not earlier, you should be considering your options elsewhere maybe? Don't know.

On year 15 at the same workplace. Raises every year, pays the bills and then some. Good to have some stability.

8 years in the same company but have gotten pay raises and promotion ofc. love the freedom of wfh and i could not go to a usual office job even if it pays a lot more
