If I could do it all over again
Would not go to college
Would join the Marine Corps straight out of high school and do my 20 years
And would get a trade job as an electrician or a carpenter after
Now its too late

Kinda same.
At 18, you don't realize how amazing it would be able to have a small pension and healthcare forever at 38 years old. Could just get an RV and go be a traveling bum-cel.

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Well before the time I hit puberty, I was probably already unsuitable for the military - on a number of levels, not just physically. But there were times I flirted with the idea of joining, if they'd have been crazy/stupid enough to let me in.
If I could do it all over again, I would consider the military more seriously this time. Although I would certainly have needed to understand much better how the world really worked than I did when I was in my teens this life, if I was going to do good in it and do well in it.
Not that being in the military isn't difficult, but it seems like it would have given my life a lot more structure and direction than the life I've had so far has.

You would be on year 13 with several years left on your current contract and they would’ve forced you to take a vaccine or a dishonorable discharge with no benefits to be received. Military, not even once

I dunno just not for me, I like a flexible schedule and burning some hippie lettuce when I get the notion.
Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.
