All the couples I know became more reclusive and their social life suffers. If one of them dies the other is fukkked

Meanwhile I can have a good time with anyone with no commitment, bank account drainage

Same. I find it ironic how many people out there NEED to be in a constant relationship.

i would strongly challenge your first point, couples have more access to social groups than singlemen.

women it's very hard to be lonely unless you really try

Just wonder why? If you were clubbing I'd see cause it gets old. But if you have hobbies and actual friends that's different

Maybe because it is true for most who are single. But yeah, enjoying life now as single, maybe some married people are coping and sour graping that we have more freedom, can taste strange pussy and/or cock anytime.

More access and less incentive. It eventually dwindles to just the couple

I dunno, are the type of couples who would exclude single guys really the ones who you want to hang with? I have friends who have been married for 5 years, and they still hang with other couples as well as single guys. They are way more fun than my married friends who are closed off.

I've actually intentionally distanced myself from friends who I could tell were treating my differently once they got married and I was single.

people get the idea old guys sit around crying all day of lonliness and regret,

Nothing could be farther from reality. Life is great. Which I would have been this "lonely" sooner in life.

Just got back from a week in vegas and already making my plans to go back.

Every thing I do is my idea and is something i want to do. No one yelling at me, no added confusion or complaints for everything, Its great.

If I want a case of beer, I go buy it and drink the whole damn thing if I want. No one to stop me or reign in the fun.

I see guys my age saddled with some old hag and cant go anywhere or do anything without them. Hell, saw some riding a tandem bicycle. Poor guy cant even ride a bike alone without dragging her along. These people usually stay clear of me as I am 100% a bad influence. I like it that way.

It depends how old you are. If you're single and in your 40s with no kids, I assume you'll die alone some time in your 60s. If someone reaches age 45 with no kids, no spouse, I'd say don't bother saving for retirement. They'll be rotting in 15 years anyway, dead within 25 years.

In 2030 45% of women aged 25-44 will be single and childless. Prob with more cats, dick miles and desperation.

I've got things wrong with me, so never married, no children at 50. Sometimes I do get lonely but it's only tempoary.

Most of the time I am really glad that I can do whatever I want, or nothing at all.

So Purina is a future growth stock. I'll suggest becoming a clinical psychologist as a stable career to my kids.

Most everyone else spends their time with their family as they get older. Not just about your spouse but also your children. Just a fact of life.

Devil is in the detail here. I still hang with single friends that I knew and formed relationships from before I was married. But I dont typically meet new friends that are single and invite them over to the crib to bbq, drink bourbon or swim in the pool etc. Just dont really have time for new friends.....all that extra time is for my kids and wife.

People are lonely cause they suck socially and aren't fun. Nothing to do with relationship status.

I see your angle but even if you are good socially....there is just so much less optoins as you get older for hanging out......until you get into your late 60's to70's where people's spouses die, their kids grow up and now you spend half your time with family and the other half with friends/hobbies. Its the 40-60 range where most people are spending most of their time with their family.

I don't know what it's like to be older than I am now. I do agree that social opportunities do shrink, but some of that is by choice.

I'm 36, and one of my closest friends is 61. He plays bball 2x a week with much younger guys. Goes to bar with us. Plays golf with us. Etc etc.

I maintain a large social circle through the gym, golf, bball league, boat scene. This is all while having a wife and 2 young children.

People make excuses to become reclusive. It doesn't have to be that way.

No the older I get the less I care. It’s simple things like taking a crap or having enough energy to go to the gym or even being able to just pay for my favorite meal that makes me happy

nice coping.

having a best friend/partner is awesome. Your friends are not your friends. Eventualy they'll go away.

with a partner, yo ucan travle the world, talk to every night., do fun stuff, save money, go out on weekends. But hey, if ur ugly and fat - gotta find a cope somehow right?
