Anyone here taken Doxycycline?
Hi. First up, serious answers only please.
I've been prescribed some tablets but haven't started dosage yet. However I have done some research and seen COUNTLESS comments saying how rough and painful the side effects can be.
Can anyone comment personally on their experience taking this?

Possibly, it's a form of antibiotic?
Whenever i've needed an antibiotic, i've just taken what has been prescribed, maybe read the spiel paperwork in the packet once or twice, if i was bored.
Was probably too sick with whatever illness i had, to worry too much about possible side effects, of the prescribed cure?

I took if when I suspected I had Lyme disease. I'm not a big fan of antibiotics,
Doxy is actually milder imo than broad spectrum antibiotics as it's bacteriostatic, it also has anti-inflammatory properties. Whichever doc prescribed you this is better than some doc you'd put you on amoxicillin or something that REALLY fukks you up by permanently wrecking your gut flora.
Keep upright for 30 minutes after taking it, it can burn the F out of your stomach if you lie down srs. It can make you feel a little spaced out in the first hour, your vision might be effected slightly with higher blood pressure. Hopefully you're only on 100mgs a day and not a big dosage.
At least it's not minocycline where it can dye your teeth blue.
