dental hygenist isn't a bad job but that's a woman's field lol so good luck. every dental appointment i've went to the hygenist was a woman without exception. the head dentist or whatever would be the male. so it's probably an uphill climb to get in.

my uncle was a dentist in france and had a hard time finding a job as a hygenist so he went back.

xray tech i have no idea.

I graduated high school with a guy who went on to be an xray tech. His wife is a nurse and they have a couple of kids and a nice middle class life. I've only talked to him briefly about his job but he doesn't seem to dislike it or anything

My wife works in Medical Imaging

From what I hear......X-Ray is the lowest paid and easiest to get into of the imagining.....probably oversaturated market. In this area at least....probably in the 45-55k/year range.

My wife is a dental hygienist. She has her bachelor's degree from OSU along with several certs specific to her industry.

She makes like $42 or $44/hr, I think the national average is a couple bucks higher though.

Hygienists are worlds different from pleeb level assistants, so keep that in mind and know which field you are getting into if you go that route.

This. I mean idk if it would be an uphill battle to get in as a male but you will be the only guy there outside of maybe a gay man or two srs. Not so sure about x-ray tech but I did work with a dental hygienist who made roughly $70k/yr so the money isn't half bad.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

I am a dental hygienist and let me tell you, its f0king CHIT. repetitive, boring and you have to deal with nasty ass germs and blood. you have to do many things in the 1 hour slot you're given so its fast paced and i hate fast paced chit. the pay is good and its in demand though.

Xray tech is good.

DH is good too, I'd pick X ray tech though.

Lots of people prefer a male DH because they do a better job with cleanings.

X-ray is sort of grunt work. You can get certified or whatever in a 2 year technical college course. You’ll be moving fat people and shoving things into peoples asses and listening to people bitch all the time, plus your hours will be complete dog**** and your pay will be relatively low unless you get certified for other types of imaging.

We had a guy who was an Xray tech here, Ashin. He lived in a trailer. Do with that info what you will.

Believe it or not it's not over-saturated and you will make $65-80k starting out depending where you work

If your girl is making under $60k she's been had(assuming not LMRT)

Either way it's a more involved job than you'd think; anything medical requires a lot of basic knowledge

I've read at some point that hygienist had the most percentage wise females.

I've never seen a male doing it. I have heard one story about a guy asking for a female to clean his teeth instead of the dude and the Dentist office asked him to not come back.

As a dentist I would hire a guygenist in a split second. Working with 16 women can be exhausting. All of my coolest and best assistants have been dudes. That being said, I've never run into a straight guygenist...

Pay-wise though, hygiene is getting a big bump. Wages are actually out of control. So good from your perspective. $40-60/hr (way more in Ca). However that's not sustainable, some dentists are getting rid of hyg staff altogether sadly because of it.

Checks out.

I am always amazed at the horror stories my wife comes home with. Nine year olds with their teeth all bombed out from drinking Mountain Dew, people who buy home filling kits and try to fill their own cavities or fill teeth gaps (srs), etc.

Not sure but I use to have the hottest dental hygienist at a place in Boulder Colorado. She was my 10/10 but unfortunately had a bf. I am friends with the receptionist and she told me that the girl thought I was one of her most attractive clients she's had to work on.

I still fap to the thought of creampieing that broad.
