Yoga Brahs - How did yoga change your physique?
Looking to getting into doing ashtanga yoga every day or every other day, wondering how it might impact my physique.
I know about all the mental benefits and recovery benefits, looking for info/perspective on the more aesthetic stuff: making you wider, filling out body parts, etc.

Your physique will change if you go to a yoga studio and as you look at femaloids your crotch area will strengthen and the better you get at yoga you will be able to maintain that pose for the duration of the class.*
*mirin my run-on sentence? got plenty of em where dat came from.

Yoga is a lifestyle, stuff you refer to as 'yoga' is just a form of exercise.
Yoga involves adjusting your lifestyle to live in union with everything else and requires more consideration than merely just exercise.
Heck, even just weight training and cardio every day alongside proper diet and lifestyle choices will make you more 'yogatic' than doing the 'asanas' or 'poses' which you referred to previously as yoga.
the idea is to clear your mind and subconscious mind of thoughts, attachments, and ideas that prevent you from feeling blissful all the time anyway - for example, you cannot have sex like in the western way or eat a crappy diet, or spend your days treating other living creatures and beings like crap - your intentions need to be pure.
The exercises are not even that important unless all the other stuff is right..
I follow this yoga teacher named Sadhguru - look him up online and he explains everything you should know.

before i got into yoga i was very inflexible and carried a lot of spiritual/emotional burdens with me
it stretches you out bigly, i can touch my toes pretty easily now. i just started going to a studio a few weeks ago my self.
develop a lot of flexibility in the hips and shoulders where as with regular weight training you are more prone to being tight, cant wipe your angus, etc.
my yoga instructor has a gymnast background, she has broad fkin shoulders like a dude but is fit a f

Yoga will change your physique (for someone used to weight lifting/bodybuilding) by adding balance and proportion to your physique. You will build muscle in all the right places that life intended for the body. You need functional muscle development to be able to do the entire ashtanga intermediate series, for example. Look at yoga instructors who do nothing but ashtanga yoga and they typically have very attractive physiques (srs)

I was wondering this too. Has anyone ever seen someone build out a good physique with Pilates either?
