Kinda mind boggling how East Asian countries became so powerful in such a short

Boggles my mind how so many East Asian countries became so powerful in such a short time.

When I first moved to Canada, nobody took East Asian countries srsly. Now, I can't go a few weeks without hearing people on JRE podcast or news media talking about how China is the biggest threat to the US and Golden bulls are taking over.

It's truly over for the US and beavercels.

It didn't happen overnight. We've been sending them all our basic manufacturing since the 60s, and all our high-tech manufacturing since the 90s.

When you are sending them all your technology and letting them build it for you, what do you think is going to happen back home when you don't have the infrastructure to manufacture cutting edge technology?

You can't just pop up a chip foundry out of thin air. It takes years of construction and billions in tooling.

My guess for their quick rise is simply due to working off what has already been done. All of the science has been established by the West, so the work is just implementation, and not discovery.
