How many couples in their late 20s actually like each other?

Been seeing a bunch of engagements pop up in my FB timeline from people in their late 20s that seem kind of fukked. A girl I knew literally put on 30-40 lbs in the last 3 years and her bf married her, a girl who blew off nerdy white guys nonstop to hang out with Tyrone and Jose is engaged to a tall white IT guy... like chit just doesn't add up.

Do these people actuallylikeeach other? Or is it just like fuk it, dating pool's only getting worse after 30, might as well put a ring on it now.

In those cases the men love their wives, the wives only care for the husband as long as he has some utility to her

Never met a married couple that consistently seemed like a legit happy couple after the first 5 years of marriage.

They are often good at masking the misery, but there are huge hints that should tip you off about people in marriages that are secretly miserable but keep it private.

Guys when they bitch and joke about their women never giving them sex/complaining about their women nagging them about dumb chit all the time, etc. For women it's stuff like flirting with male coworkers despite being married women, badmouthing their husbands at all, etc.

i feel like most do it because they feel its what they're supposed to do which is not a good reason to get married and explains the large percentage of divorces that occur here in the US

Yes.

They like each-other because they have become so sad and desperate and scarred of being alone due to such a sudden loss of youth.

Misery loves company. LOL

I see a bit of what you are describing myself too and find it strange. I get the feeling like these people have almost like a list of life milestones. On that list is get married and have kids all that. The problem is its always the whore or unstable types pretending like they are no longer sad whores after being ran through, left by everyone they ever dated, getting fat and losing their youth due to partying, drinking and being a degenerate thinking it would last forever like they'll always be 16. But it doesn't. Reality comes crashing down fast in your 20's if you aren't ready for it and these people seem to panic and rush into "settling down".

That's 99.99% of married women in general, breh.

Just look at how fast women bail if their husbands get fired or something. Most won't even last more than a couple months before growing to resent him over it, regardless of the circstances.

Now ask yourself how many cases you've heard about a man divorcing his wife because she lost her job/took a lesser paying job/etc.?

Marriages where both people really are in love and really attracted are actually very rare. That is the exception not the rule. The rule is to settle.
True. Historically marriage was a means to start a family and/or to improve social standing. Love was never a factor. In fact, most people got arranged marriaged and it would be common for the bride and groom to meet each other for the first time on their wedding.
