Movie is a mess srs. With a little more care and letting other experts chime in (for example, on audio mixing) it could have been really good. Nolan’s ego got in the way

It would always be a minimum of 3 versions of me then? Say this is all in the course of one hour:
Me before going into a portal at 5pm
Me going backwards through time for 1 hour
Then me inverting through a portal an hour in the past at 4pm - at this time there are 3 versions of me?

Some things still don't make sense
SPOILERS BELOW
Spoiler!
SPOILERS BELOW
Spoiler!
Neil's death just doesn't sit right with me still. To unlock the door, he first has to be the one to lock it? Why do that to begin with and just leave it unlocked?
And if the bald guy is the one to shoot him in normal forward time, then that means the bullet would have had to have been in Neil's head previously?
Even then, Neil, in reverse time, sees the guys fighting the bald dude, so why just stand there to take the bullet, why not fight him/shove the gone, etc.
And if Neil died, at some point of choosing this place to store the algorithm, they would have noticed his corpse and should have had some sense of some issue happening there in the past (when he would have died in normal time).

Liked the movie as a whole
But the locked gate scene just seemed wrong to me

I had a hard time following the movie with my pee brain, but enjoyed it regardless. The scene at the end when they dropped the teams in the sea cans was pretty cool . My home theatre was just pounding

Nolan believes in his own hype and it shows
Also think the Dark Knight movies were sorta overrated. The third was actually bordering on bad
