BREAKING: Inflation up again with CPI shattering expectations. Stocks tank

Wholesale prices rose more than expected in November as food prices surged, dampening hopes that inflation could be headed lower, the Labor Department reported Friday.

Here's why inflation is a good thing........
Freedom of speech is a principle pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved and tyranny is erected on its ruins.

You know what pisses me off the most about the midterms? History is written by the victors. Joe Biden is going to go down in history as a successful president for his unprecedented expansion of senate control and stopping the red wave. The suffering of the American people will be irrelevant once time passes and the legacy of Biden’s stagflation economy will be forgotten. His political wins won’t, regardless of whether or not there was corruption or media misinformation to give him the alley oop.

But in reality this geriatric piece of chit has been successful in nothing but wrecking the country in a matter of months after taking office. I’m making more money than I ever have in my entire life BY FAR. Literally more than DOUBLE what I was making 5 years ago. Yet my quality of life is WORSE.

Just this month Americans shattered the record of hardship 401(k) withdrawals. That’s the story nobody wants to report, people are suffering and it all lands on the back of our terrible president.

That is success. The left wants to burn it to the ground. That's literally the goal.

Biden was installed like a toilet so what is occurring could occur.

After the economy is in shambles they will offer up the CBDC to save you as a stimulus. Once you sign up then your freedoms are gone as they control how you spend and what you spend it on and if you get your allowance.

A lot of people need to go broke this time before enough other people stop/reduce spending, since the upper echelon of the economy is still flush with the recent spooge of cash that was jizzed all over them.

There is someone right now, somewhere, that had some stimmy money still left over and was sitting on a chunk of unrealized crypto gains, who now has spent all his stimmies, lost his crypto gains and is now living off of his credit card, thinking he just needs to ride it out until the fed pivots.

By the time the fed does pivot, tho, it's only because they finally got the unemployment rate to move...and now they need to slow it back down.

In the meantime, homeboy on his credit card gets laid off, because borrowing rates became so high the leveraged at a low interest rate company he worked for decided to tap out, so he cashes out his recent crypto gains and uses the money to pay down his credit cards and/or live on, thinking he'll just get a new job and things will be okay.

But he doesn't get a new job, and things are not okay,, because nobody is hiring, he's out of money and his credit card is maxed out, so he's forced to transition to van life, except he has no van, so it's just life now.

And there has been very little mention of this.

Not exactly.

A lot of people are already broke and have tapped credit and savings to maintain their standard of living.

Have you noticed a reduction in inflation? Do you believe that TPTB are even trying to lower inflation?

Because I'm pretty sure that at least when it comes to prices if you want to lower prices then you decrease [or at least stop increasing] the number of dollars chasing goods and services + increase the amount of goods and services available until a sustainable equilibrium is met.

What has our government been doing though? Spending more US$ into existence and continuing to artificially restrict an already tight supply of goods and services [mandates, sanctions, net zero policies].

I'm not sure if they can stop printing money without immediate currency collapse, but they could certainly drop ALL mandates and sanctions and net zero BS which are constraining the supply of goods and services artificially.

Wringing all the "excess" wealth from the masses should create deflation in unnecessary items, but for the things that we really need a real price break will require an increase in supply or a reduction in demand via people being homeless/institutionalized/dead- not just broke.

next year is gonna be a ****show if you are debtmaxed. Real inflation pushing 20%. House prices plummeting (relatively speaking, nothing like 09), rent staying high and still rising in places. New car market is gonna get fuked, though lease deals should start getting better again. People hardly have any savings. Tech industry getting cucked hard, and after Elon just showed you can run your site with a 10th the people, other social media companies will follow suit. Probably a good time to have a lot of liquid assets.

Many people keep a decent savings but are overloaded with debt and or payments coming down the pipe. People tend to spend in correlation with their earnings, so at 40k/year you might have 10k saved, but who was debt, car, house/rent? If you make 100k, you might have 20k in savings, but your chances of higher payments and debt go up. Paycheck to paycheck regardless of wages is the American trap. Those savings don't account for all angles of money flow. Listen to any Dave Ramsey episode and someone will call in a day "I owe 10k and have 12k in my savings, wut do"? He will say spend the 10k on debt, then have 2k in savings...no one wants to do that because they see that 12k as 12k, not the reality where it's actually 2k and just waiting on the debt to be called.

time to stop buying vegetables, they are not 38% better.

"A 38% surge in wholesale vegetable prices helped push the food index up by 3.3%, offsetting an identical 3.3% decline in energy costs."

Maybe. I mean if the Fed wasn’t fukin stupid they would do that, but you trust them to keep raising rates to that point? I don’t.
