oh gee, you have a million and 1 issues? well wouldn't that be the first! bless your fragile little heart, since obviously no one else gets a little down from time to time
but seriously most of these people for the most part have things pretty good all things considered, yet still find a way to be negative *******s dragging you and all your chit into their own chit

Legit feel like diagnosing people with depression is made up pseudoscience created to enrich therapists and drug companies. ded fkin Srs.
They make it seem like you're not supposed to be sad. Which is a normal human emotion.
A buddy of mine had a relative that passed away recently. He said he had 'caught depression' and they put him on drugs.
You know what I wanted to say? You're supposed to feel down. Your relative just died.

Have a client who's daughter is 22, lives at home and can't hold down a job. Literally has her entire life provided for her and is still "depressed". But her mother continues to coddle her and basically provide everything because otherwise she's worried she will hurt herself. Won't go to therapy.
The concept of kicking birds out of the nest is completely foreign to people today. I know depression is a real thing, but with some of these kids they need to just actually learn how to fend for themselves.

Tend to agree.
Think about some of the stuff our grandparents and great grandparents went thru - wars, global recession, Spanish flu, etc - but the only depression they ever talked about was the Great Depression and even then they just dealt with it, ate less and made do.
Nowadays people are too coddled and lack resilience.

That's exactly what society wants out of you -- to be depressed, fat, lazy, popping SSRIs like candy -- makes you easy to control.
