Scrambled eggs and white rice?

I saw it posted on another miscer's thread. Does that actually taste good and is goes well together? My budget is bleak after buying gifts for fam and figured that's gotta be one of the cheapest meals to make. Can anyone confirm?

Pretty common breakfast dish in Asia. Scrambled is weirder though. Put a sunny side up egg over the rice that can run all over the rice when you cut into it. Top it with chili oil.

Frozen peas, left over sausages, onion. Fry together. Season (Worcester sauce). Now it's getting expensive.

Make egg fried rice, the only thing extra you need is dark soy sauce, the rice needs to be chilled in the fridge for 12 hours first

I'd add beans and some seasoning. Tastes great with those.

White rice and throw a couple eggs on top. Let the heat of the rice cook the egg lightly or mix it all together. Some schiracha ketchup or chili oil is bomb. I can eat this everyday but alas kids and wife need variety.

I always do it. I pan fry the rice then add the eggs then add peas and carrots.

Add siracha and mix in.

It is fire.

Works great. I mix it together like that all the time. Cook rice ahead of time, then microwave it and throw cooked eggs on top. Usually I'll toss some sprouts and turkey bacon in there too, top w cheese. It's legit.

As someone who is perfectly fine with plain food when I'm hungry, settling for scrambled eggs on white rice is a waste when you can make it 100x better with like 2 minutes of work

Saute some minced garlic in oil
Add leftover rice
Add soy sauce or salt, then green onions and plate
In same pan, fry eggs till edge is crispy, and plate

For ez mode, just use garlic salt and onion powder instead of minced garlic and soy sauce and green onions

Just search for egg fried rice recepies on YouTube to see how to make it good.

Rice needs to be day old tho.
Or Else it will have a disgusting soggy consistency

I eat rice and eggs daily for breakfast, its delicious.

Here is how I do it.

bed of white rice.

Then I fry up some diced spam until its brown. Put that on the rice.

next is guacamole. Half an avacado mixed with sour cream and spices. Put that on the rice.

Top with a couple over easy eggs. The yolks are like a gravy. The scrambed are pretty good too but a bit drier.

yes it's good af srs. Key is to mix the rice in while scrambling srs.

In China there's a scrambled egg, tomato, bit of green onion over rice quick dish too. It's actually quite nice for a late breakfast if you're on the go there.
