South Korean men are dying "lonely deaths"

South Korea has a problem: thousands of people, many middle aged and isolated, are dying alone each year, often going undiscovered for days or weeks.

Although lonely deaths affect people across various demographics,the report showed middle aged and elderly men appear particularly at risk.

The number of men suffering lonely deaths was 5.3 times that of women in 2021, up from four times previously.

I have always thought this. I can't stand the thought of deteroirating and loved ones and/or medical staff caring for me as a I am a shell of myself in a miserable existance. Ideally I'd like to just get an assisted death when I notice things are starting to go downhill.

People always say they don't want to die in a hospital and I never understood why. I want to be jacked up on morphine by some sloot nurse, and hopefully if the morphine can relieve my nausea enough, i'll still have an appetite to enjoy some good food a couple last times (hospital food gets a bad rap, the food at the hospital by where I live in CT is actually really good.) I don't want to be surrounded by stupid family counting down the hours till they get to inherit all my money.

The nurses are brutal to the elderly at their deathbed srs. You become their plaything.

I have witnessed them making inappropriate jokes at them such as "hey we removed your cock while you was out haha" etc
