Tarantulas in my garage here in Texas..

I've only been here a month and a half and I've run across 4 tarantulas. 3 were dead, they sprayed the house when I moved in, but one was alive.

I gotta wonder how much more of this stuff there will be once it's actually hot outside.

I'm in south Texas, in a hilly area. It's actually really nice here, it reminds me a lot of Italy. They have venom, but it's not deadly. I've heard it's like a bad bee sting.

Tbh I thought that's what they looked like too. Idk why they'd be wandering around like that though. I found them on my driveway next to my garage door.

I googled more, and you're right, those 2 weren't tarantulas, they were trapdoor spiders. I didn't realize they were down here too. There's been a lot of rain, so them being out makes sense.

I'm trying to be vague about my location, but I'm sort of in south Texas, depending on who you ask. Businesses here love to use "South Texas" in their names, as well as the local government.

I am not a native, I just moved here a little over a month ago.

Buy a Huntsman from Australia as a baby, and have it grow up to be your buddy. It’ll mog our pussy ass American spiders and keep you safe.

Lol I've read there are huntsman here too, but hopefully they're not as common as in Australia.

I'm a little sorry I'm gonna miss this one. I hate the cold, but I enjoy snow, and they're forecasting over 20 inches where I moved from.
