Family meal: chicken, rice & asparagus step by step (recipe included)
I'm cooking for the family tonight (I love to cook) I thought I would share this with you all.
I'll be making chicken kebabs and asparagus on the BBQ, and some rice to go with. Feel free to ask anything as we go.
First step is to cut chicken breast into chunks and marinade for atleast 2 hours. I've got just over a kilo (2.2 pounds) of chicken here.

The spice mix -
2t paprika
1/4t tumeric
1/2t cumin
1/4t chili powder
1t cinnamon
1/4t cloves
1/2t cardamom
1t salt
1/2t ginger
1t corriander
1t garlic powder

I added some lemon juice and olive oil and mixed it well. I will now let it rest in the fridge while I prep the other ingredients brb

Hey brah, i'm new to cooking (lmao). If i created a spice mix exactly like yours in a bowl, do I have to use it all at once? Or could I keep it in the bowl and store it in the pantry?

Basic white rice is easy to cook and I can tell you how.
1 cup of rice to 1.5 cups of water (or stock). Bring to the boil with the lid on, then turn it down to low and let it cook for 19mins. Remove it from the heat and leave the lid on for another 5min before fluffing.
I'm making special rice this time so first I will sautee some garlic and diced onion before adding some tumeric and cumin with the stock and rice.
Before I start on that I will put the skewers together brb
