personally thought he was dope af and true HIP HOP when he was still mostly unknown. once he became mainstream he started sucking and went to appeal to angry teenagers.

They have more motivation and drive when younger. It's a combination of youthful exuberance and unideal circumstance that drives that creative quality. Once they make it and get older, they lose that which got them there in the first place.
