Hershey sued for allegedly selling lead and cadmium-filled dark chocolate
Pennsylvania-based chocolatier Hershey has been sued by a consumer for allegedly selling lead and cadmium-filled dark chocolate, according to reports.
Reuters reported on Thursday that Nassau County, New York resident Christopher Lazazzaro filed the proposed class action lawsuit against Hershey in federal court in Central Islip, New York on Wednesday.
In the suit, Lazazzaro claims he would not have purchased Hershey’s Special Dark Mildly Sweet Chocolate, Lily’s Extra Dark Chocolate 70% Cocoa and Lily’s Extreme Dark Chocolate 85% had he known through a disclosure from Hershey that these products contained metals.

Just lol at all these giant companies. Can only imagine how bad business practices are.
A Hershey's warehouse and office building down the street from my work shut down in 2020. Literally out of no where. A guy was walking the warehouse spaces in his suit asking for a job because he showed up and they just said grab your things everyone is done. Brutal.

All I found was a lawsuit on them back in 2019 for their false labeling:

I've read before that around 100,000 Americans a year receive chelation therapy in doctors offices. That is the treatment used for removing heavy metals from the body. I doubt it is all coming from chocolate eaters.
The heavy metal removal treatment isn't covered by insurance or government programs last I checked but one doctor and a few others are trying to get the government to cover the treatments costs. Imagine if that ever happens (last I read it had not) many more Americans will be receiving EDTA chelation therapy.

A hundred years from now when foods have stricter health requirements, those people will look back and laugh at how disgusting our foods were.

I was looking at pics of Americans back in the 50s and 60s and everyone was thin and happy. Most processes food sold in the grocery stores today are not food, good for the occasional treat but don't eat it regularly. They use fillers to reduce cost and preservatives to extend shelf life and tricks with flavoring to make them addictive.

Used to eat these all the time in the 1980's, before they got taken off the market for Aluminum content. Hasn't done me any harm.

Inb4 you have to eat leaden chocolate or else you’ll get fired
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.
