Misc dog owners, how is your doggo handling the explosions?

Apparently, all my neighbors had a great year, with two huge loud parties next to and behind my house. My Karenn front neighbor blew her budget on fireworks for the first. time, she has been blowing shyt since 7 pm 10 feet away from my front door, so f0cking loud that I get startled at sometimes. She hates my dog and I swear she is doing it on purpose.

My dog was barking, shaking, and trying to crawl inside me that I had to put some cotton balls in her ears and make her ear muffs from a sweater sleeve, also playing relaxing dog music from youtube and the worst is yet to come.

Based GSD doesn’t give a single damn about them. Hope your dog gets some relief and calmness.

When there are explosions at night, my French bulldog runs all over the apartment and runs to the window to watch, waking me and my wife at the same time.

My GSD at first was curious where they were coming from but now she's just laying here on the bed chilling. Mix/rescues hiding under the bed like Ukrainians.

No fireworks yet. Hopefully there won't be any around us.

Your poor pupper. You can also turn a loud fan on for white noise. It usually helps my pup. If she is really afraid of fireworks and thunder you could also try a Thunder Shirt in the future.

Feel bad for you OP. You dog does not deserve to have that happening.

Have two Golden Retrievers.

They always just snooze through it, both on 4th of July and NYE.

I think it really is because GRs think that there is nothing bad in the world, believe nothing bad will ever happen to them, everybody is their friend, etc. So innocent in their heart and mind.
