Do you bros have “guys who wear fishing apparel everywhere” where you live??

Or is it a uniquely Florida thing?

e.g. you’re out for dinner and the dude at the next table is wearing a Hūk sunshirt or whatever

Not so much. In my area the corollary would be camo.

Not really, no.

We got plenty of guys who are incapable of talking about things other than stuff like fishing and hunting 24/7/365, though.

Yeah I live in SC there is alot of that. Columbia PFG stuff everywhere. Obviously Guy Harvey t-shirts are everywhere too.

In the summer I wear fishing shorts alot cause they are super light and lets face it its 100 degrees here for a few months a year.

Where I grew up it was PFG shirts/shorts and polarized glasses perpetually hanging from neck. Also had your camo and boots in the classroom type guys as well.

I live a bit further north close to a famous city now and the first thing I noticed was the sheer variety of different people. Also no oceans nearby by so no salt life crew anywhere.

Coastal Florida, so yeah. Every truck has deer hunting propaganda and fishing stickers advertised loud and clear. But you know what I don't see at the trail head pre light....pavement princess trucks with browning decals and camo trim like I do downtown...usually its a 20 year old truck with a subtle way of letting you know this is a gun owners vehicle that may also hunt. Not alot of "salt life" stickers at the boat ramp early morning either, more of a "I went to the beach twice last year" kind of a sticker. To an outsider you would assume florida salt water inshore fishing is a fashion show more than a hobby.

Endless amounts of $100,000 boat/truck combos with $500 sunglasses and specialized shirts to catch the same trout/snook/redfish a 14ft aluminim jon boat with a 9.9 hp catches. In fact, browse your local state records for hunting/fishing....very rare that the record holder is one of the rich guys with a super set up.

No better smug feeling than spearing grouper/snapper under boats that cost a small house with empty coolers and crawling back into a 16ft carolina skiff with a 20 year old motor. Out dove/fishing triple outboards in a canoe for several years lol.

Cornball, poser, wannabe, hack chit, avoid it all like the plague.

Oh hell yeah!!! Huk, columbia, magellan etc with a matching hat, sunglasses with the straps to go around neck. Southeast Texas here, about an hour east of Houston.

Edit: Oh yeah, also paired with those damn Hey Dude shoes literally everyone is wearing.
