How is it that prayer is seen to be able to somehow be the difference between things turning out wrong or right? Why is it despite praying for something good to happen, even though it doesn't, do we not see prayer as having failed? We just excuse it as 'not apart of the plan'. Prayer is about the same as mumbling and talking in tongues and thinking it changes anything.

I realized this a while back and I’m Christian srs. It actually makes zero sense. The only prayer that makes sense is the serenity prayer and prayers of thanks. Prayers asking for particular outcomes is dumb af

I get being thankful and reflective about the positive things in your life or having a good day or things like that. But someone getting shot in the head and 'praying' they'll survive is not going to do ANYTHING. Then when they die we just say oh well it just wasn't mean to be. When in actuality, the prayer failed. Look at it this way. If you have people on opposite sports teams praying that their team will win, why is it that the other team wins and the other loses? How the fuk does that work?

Prayer is more about orienting yourself with what is right.

An example is the metaphor of prayer causing a blind man to see. See means to understand the forces of the world and humans well enough to not need to look.
