Update on atgbrahsrs health

Cliffs:

- OP had some symptoms since 25th December (just a weird tingling sensation in the lung area, persistent cough, tiredness).

- Got worried because from 1st of Jan onwards he got a persistent bitter taste in mouth. Foods tasted bland and this taste was there despite not eating/drinking after having brushed/flossed.

- Did a bunch of Covid tests, all negative. Sense of smell is not affected as far as I can tell and when it comes to Covid taste comes with smell. And not a bitter taste but just a loss of.

- Did a Chest X-ray on 28th, came out normal. But the taste persisted from 1st Jan to now (but it is like half to what it was early Jan).

- OP forgot he has private healthcare insurance and did the x-ray/GP appointments on the NHS UK. He booked last week a private ENT. ENT did the camera in nose-to-throat exam and said I have a deviated septum. Nothing else major (like cancer etc).

Said that something in the back of the nose might be pressing on a nerve that might send signals to the brain for this taste interpretation so booked me in for an MRI 25 Jan.

Coffee still tastes undrinkable, for real.

However, finalised Covid as not the cause as I did an antibody test yesterday, and got the result today:

Brutal, wonder what is up with me. If MRI shows nothing IDK if the ENT will cross-refer me to neurology or possibly endocrinology? First time going through private health insurance and my goodness public ones need to be outlawed ASAP.
