I was poking around a Mercedes dealer website, looking at a nice E-class I am interested in, and it had a form to fill out in order to estimate your payment.

I gave them my SPAM e-mail address I always use to keep my main e-mail clear of crap, yet a salesman just e-mailed my main email account as well as an auto generated e-mail going to my spam email address. He also texted and left a message on my Google Voice number , which I never gave them.

I went back to the dealer website to look at the same car and check and see what info they had on me saved in a cookie, and all it says is my backup email address.

The form somehow got extra contact info for me that I never gave them and passed it along.

I'm not too mad at the dealer, but geez...I use a backup e-mail address for a reason.
