Pull ups how many can you do?
I can do like 12-13 in a row. Never been able to do better ever.
Does it ever baffle you when you hear people can do 20+?! Wtf is their secret?
How many can you do in a row dead hang?
Edit: no “kipping”

If you follow this guide here EXACTLY you will impress yourself. You have to do the test first honestly and then follow the training plan. I did it for about 6 weeks and got up to 38 strict. I knew at that point i could basically bet anyone on the street money that i could do more strict pullups than them. Then I hurt my shoulder mountain biking and had to stop:

(Right now i could probably do 8-10)

None. My rotator cuff is damaged.
At my peak I could do about 20 wide grip and maybe 10 normal.

More than you can afford pal.
Srs though, in my prime 25+. Could probably knock out 20 now. I toss sets of 10-12 in between sets of all exercises, especially on leg days. THE GOAT body weight movement IMO if you have good form and keep the core tight AF.

I will say that just hanging for 3 15 sec sessions has greatly reduced shoulder and back pain throughout the day

Most I've ever done is 5. I accomplished this in gym class during Junior High, and during another couple of occasions when I was an adult and had progressed during a period of physical self-improvement. Yes, from a dead hang. Oh well.

Seriously lifting question: do you need to retract your shoulder blades when doing pull ups (pronated grip)? I always go down until I get a natural feeling full stretch but according to some bro scientists at the gym it's bad for the rotator cuffs?
Sounds a bit weird to need to retract shoulder blades because pull ups are in the vertical plane. Most of the 'science' suggests you should do shoulder presses without scap retraction as it allows for the free movement of the scaps which is important for vertical pressing. So shouldn't the same apply for vertical pulling?
