But there is some truth to it: the Southern Italians look nothing like the Northern Italians.

I've met Italians who were blond hair blue/green eyed and straight up look like Celts or Germans, but they were 100% full blooded Italian (to the best of their knowledge)... and then I've met Italians that look like Mexicans.

Nothing wrong with that, some Southern Italian females are gorgeous.

Southern Italians (black hair tan skin) are just of Sicilian ancestry, which comes from earlier humans migrating to Siciily and staying put and then some genetic mixing with traders throughout the Mediterranean (North African, Greek, Arabs, etc)

The Ancient Romans were generally fair-skinned, Blond/Brunette haired and had light eyes.


Augustus was described as being a very light brunette or a slightly darker shade of blond. The Italians in the central and northern portions of Italy still look like this. But the southern Italians tend to look more mixed due to centuries of migration waves.

My dad is 100% Italian, his mother’s side was from central Italy & Father’s side from Southern Italy.

Did a genetics test and it showed:
-Italian
-Greek/Balkan
-Iranian/Caucasian/Mesopotamian
-Anatolian
-Arab/Egyptian/Levantine
-Sudanese

Pretty much everything around the Mediterranean Sea more or less.

E3b1a2 is the most common haplogroup in sicily. E3b1a2 is also most common in greece and albania. next most common is R1b. R1b is western european.

I actually tried to find who had the Sudanese, Greek, etc lol. I have my family tree back to 1590 with roots in Palermo, Calabria, and Campobasso. I guess it’s too far back to find out.

Actually not even slightly bothered about the genetic mix. My FOB Sicilian grandpa looked like a light skinned black man and my dad looks like Osama Bin Laden srs. My mom is more fair skinned so I’m not that dark although I tan very easily. I’m sure Southern Italians have a mixture of Arab and North African blood. It’s all good.

This thread was more a call out because the boyo keeps chit talking Italians and every time we post in the same thread he posts the same pic of Pauly D to rustle me.
