Welcome to the real world bitch. Dont forget to go to the VA and get 100% rating even if theres nothing wrong with you. You are now obligated to tell everyone around you all the time about your service.

And most importantly, dont forget to make DD214 jokes.

Yes

That's how much I didn't jive with what's going on. I took advantage of the benefits available to me while I was in and got my master's degree and did a six month internship on my way out in the industry I want to be in, so I'm set to go. Have legitimate health claims as well, so I'm less interested in the pension, and more interested in how to have a fulfilling and complete life, versus waging away for another 6 years.

Clown world, Military style! Im glad I got out way before all of it started to hit the fan. Standards dont even exist now. I see legit fat fukks walking around all the time. Half the time no one has a cover on. The other half have beards. Then you have the new hair standards for females.

I was on a major high when I got out that lasted for a few months up to a year. Just chilled in San Diego on the GI Bill going to Grad School (after about 2 months worth of terminal leave - I didn't sell it all back) and lived with roommates to keep living expenses low.

It was a great time while it lasted.

Yea, decent amount from the abuse I've taken from the man. 6 years was not worth it for me after a cost-benefit analysis.

I have three more years left in before my ETS, which would put me at 9 years. I too have been wondering if it's even worth it to stay in another 10. Sometimes it feels like I could be out doing something way better for me.

Holocaust denial is illegal in over 18 countries. if an organized killing of jews happened so definitely, why would people need to serve prison sentences for questioning it?

a lot of massively fat guys and i seen some of the same ones around for a few years, i have no idea who is passing them but they are cheating

also all the black guys now have a beard, and while they changed the rules when i look it up they are still supposed to be evaluated every few months for folliculitis but i dont think they are doing it, everyone has a beard now so nobody is going to stop them or say anything because then they would be a racist
Saw two guys at the gate with fking viking beards (like I now am rocking) couldn't be prouder. Beards should be a mandatory item from CIF.

Bro if you can and want to leave - do it. If you haven't taken full advantage of the schooling benefits that come from your service - do it. I did that early on so that if I wanted to make a move at any point, I could do it. Network, network, network, and get yo edumacations.

You definitely know what it’s like, Wayne.

I started college the semester after I returned stateside from OJC. Sitting in class with a bunch of teenage civilians was a very weird feeling indeed. Especially since I was 10 years older than them. lol

Yes sir...I certainly do.

Can't believe I got out in '69.
Arithmetic isn't my strong point but that is like......holy shvt!....54 years ago!
How did I manage to stay above the dirt.

Yeah....I started college (geology/music major) when I was 23 and most looked like high school kids to me.
