It does look stupid but I also drink beer while working out so I am not one to talk. used to anyway all the time. Not at the gym though, just at my home gym.

The problem is that for some reason a "gym with alcohol and music" is more appealing to NPCs than "a nightclub with some gym equipment", despite the former being extremely cringe.
