Recommend an athletic shoe you like.

I lift/jump rope. A running shoe isn’t out of the question however as they’re versatile.

I've always heard the lifted heel was good for squatting but I'm a lightweight shoe guy myself. I love Nike Free's and the adidas lightweight shoes. Those you posted earlier look pretty good but I've never heard of that brand before. Do they sell them in stores anywhere I could try them on?

Lifted heal for squatting is a crutch. There will be a learning curve to using shoes with zero heel drop, but you'll never go back. I can't even wear shoes with 3mm drop anymore.

I believe REI sells the XERO brand, but probably not the HFS model I'm wearing now. My advice is to find the EUROPEAN size of the shoe you're wearing now, and match it with the EUROPEAN size Xero shoe.

If anything, minimalist shoes improve technique and offer better feel than the platform boots you posted.

I use mine as a daily. They're incredible driving shoes.... Not that I'm a racing driver or anything, but they have a perfect "feel" to them.

I've had mine since October, and they still look like new... Based on reviews, the HFS model is more durable than XERO's more popular "Prio" model.

Match your size chart for European sizing.... If you wear a European 45 Nike, then buy the European 45 Xero. Don't try to match US sizing charts, because they're all different.

Xero also has the Forza trainer and 360 which is kind of like a crossfit shoe. Roomy toe box is amazing. Your feet will thank you. Your feet muscles will be sore as they will be working as they should but you'll never go back to stupid sneakers with heels.

Those look good.

I've always used minimal shoes, my previous favorite was the INOV8 f-lite 195's, but the toe box on those suck complete ass compared the XERO's.... The very second I put on XEROs, I was like "holy fuk these are perfect"

Those look pretty interesting.

My dream shoe is the Ultraboost 20/21 sole on 5mm drop.
Hate how most modern shoes have hardly any rubber... the weight doesn't matter if we aren't racing.

If it’s just basic lifting and jump rope shoes really don’t matter and I have like 20 different athletic shoes I wear for different stuff. Would just wear whatever I thought looked cool srs.

Asics running shoes with a high end brand of shoe inserts, not that cheap Dr. Scholl's crap, for anything cardio. Feels like you're walking on air, srs.

For lifting, my favorite is a pair of flat footed boxing shoes. Srs.
