I need to quit reading the news for awhile

I for real shed some tears after reading the article detailing Adriana Kuch's bullying and suicide.

Nothing has rustled me that bad in a long time.

I hope she rests in peace.

I'm on recharge but will try to rep everyone that laments or commiserates in this thread.

Those of us with kids, especially ones close to that age, it really hits too close to home.

Also, suicide is so devastating and permanent, and it would absolutely be a parent's worst nightmare to have a child experience bullying to that extent leading to a death in that manner.

As pointed out in an earlier thread, if her father personally hunted down every single one of those bullies, I’d look the other way. I wouldn’t consider it a good thing to do, but I’d understand.

Sad, but remember hundreds of thousands die in wars. Think of all the starving Yemeni and Afghan kids like her. Think of the kids dying in Ukraine. You're supposed to get out of the bubble and feel something. We must help the next generation. This is the first time in a long time that they will have it worse than their parents. We need to do something about it -- to stop the wars, bullying, suffering, poverty.

Turning away is a luxury we can afford as Americans. But their suffering continues.

It is sickening. My daughter is being bullied right now, as are 3 other girls, so we are pushing hard to get her expelled. The problem is that she may retaliate. She's schizophrenic and bipolar, so she's very dangerous. She's even bullied me.

It's awful. My friend's son was bullied at age 16 and took his own life. He was her only child. I just don't even know what to say to her or to talk about my own child with her because I feel so bad.

Life is hard, it's unfair. So you have to teach your kids to be tough, both mentally and physically. I haven't seen the video, but it doesn't matter, give those students who assaulted her 10 years of hard labor each. Done people only learn through pain and suffering.

We should be doing what Singapore is doing.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
