Saw a few grizzlies in the distance. This area is known for grizzly nesting

Had a bear spray the entire time and all my food was on bear hangs on trees at night inside a bearproof canister

Fuk brah. That's sick. I think I'm going to do something like that for a vacation this year. Obviously not up there in Yukon but in Wisconsin probably.

You always have the best scenery/pics with all your adventures. Any snowshoeing up mountains over the winter?

Yea I definitely will brah. And I'll make a thread on it in your honor haha.

Funny thing is most people would hate doing stuff like this and think I'm crazy for wanting to. They all want to be at a crowded dirty beach in hot weather. For some reason I love the snow, the quiet and peace of nature like this.

I’m with you, couldn’t imagine taking time off only to spend it on a beach with a bunch of people drinking beer. Most of my hikes and camping trips are solo, just want to enjoy the peace by myself in the mountains

Looks like a really cool trip. Definitely 'mirin.

I love backpacking. Don't like crowds and a good backpacking trip is my first choice for a getaway. However, I did a solo backpack hunt a few years ago and found out I don't really prefer going solo. It was fun, just more fun for me in a small group. Felt strange going days without saying anything. My first choice is going with my kids or one of my buddies. Done some with my wife early in our marriage, but it's not her favorite and we've had little kids for her to stay home with for a long time.
