Do we need more assistance for the poor ($100k and under)?

I see a lot of Nissans on the road, I can tell that there are quite a few people living in poverty. I think maybe since $100k used to be a lot of money in the 60s, people who get there now still think they have made it even though their pantry is full of ramen and their Sentra is missing the rear bumper. $100k earners are at the edge of escaping food stamps yes I will grant you that, but who wants to split a studio apartment with 3 people? Personally I have a big soft spot in my heart for these people just trying to get by and I think our government needs to do more. I do worry though, since they aren't accustomed to money they might just run off and waste it...

I think so, but it should be basic assistance like with food or rent or if it is an UBI it shouldn't destroy incentives to work.

Spot on here. Being poor is a state of mind not a financial statement.

We would be better off trying to solve the issue of height inflation. As we know 6'0" used to be considered tall a few decades ago, and now it's just manlet cutoff status. Any adult male 5'6" and under shouldn't even be considered human imo. If we took all the taxpayer money spent on welfare and used it on height increase surgeries for the short statured, almost all of the ills plaguing our society would be gone over night.

I honestly thought OP had died years ago. I remember he was addicted to running cows over and shyt, and I thought maybe a cow had returned the favor.
