Yeah, my ex had a serious personality disorder, and I unfortunately fell victim to it for years before realizing what was going on. Happened to me all the time. Convinced me that everything was my fault, that I had said things I never said or vice versa, etc. Every problem in our lives was directly or indirectly caused by me in ways that made no sense. A lot of it was also projection.
