Who lifted today? Non-lifting ph@gg0ts stay out...

Had a decent as fukk workout today.

Current split is kind of unique - don't see it being done by anyone else really.

A: Push+Quad dominant legs

B: Pull+Glute/Ham dominant legs

Today was Push+Quad dominant legs. I don't personally enjoy "push" movements (benching, OHPing, etc.) but I do enjoy hitting legs, so overall I enjoy the workout each time.

Two days off now and I'll be back in for Pull+Glute/Ham dominant legs. Love that day. If I could only work one "bodypart" for the rest of my life, it would be back. And then on top of it get to do some juicy as fukk leg work... brb best workout each and every time.

So who here lifted today?

I'm going soon to do push.

I tried the push/pull workout like yours before but warming up for quads and upper body push in the same workout made it take forever. How long do your workouts take?

Starting January 1st I trained three days on, one day off until the other day. I now take two days off, and train three days in a row.

Day 1: chest
Day 2: shoulders
Day 3: Triceps and biceps

Same routine as me, had to skip today but going to do push tomorrow. Push used to be my favorite until I messed up my shoulder and now I can't barbell bench or do a lot of really heavy compound lifts anymore. Both days are pretty much the same for me now.

Honestly it takes too long. I only do 3/week (ABA, BAB next week, repeat) so I'm fine with each workout taking longer in order to get the volume I want/need.

It's not optimal being in the gym for a solid AF 2 hours (including warmup and cooldown, so about 80-100 minutes of actual lifting) but I get a lot of rest days to recover and I just enjoy the split so I'm mentally totally fine with spending the time there.

Many people are unable to maintain intensity through a workout that long, or just plain don't want to be at the gym that long and take the time out of the day, and both of those are totally valid reasons *not* to do this split, so I'm not surprised you told it to fukk off lol.

Based on your avi you know what works well for you my man

I had that same issue with traditional pplx2. I cut it down to workouts focusing on bench, deadlift, squat, and then an upper body push/pull day. 4x a week. Feel I make better progress at 4 opposed to 6. Try to only spend 60-90 minutes at the gym

Today was a rest day.

I still try to do a 4 day a week upper lower split, but at 42 it feels like my recovery is taking more time than it used to. I have also had to deal with some injuries like scapular dyskenesis.

So honestly I just try to do my best now.

Low weight, high volume bench today, and some heavy deads. Accessory work thrown in like shrugs, ghd sit-ups, skull crushers, db curls, and lateral raises.

Walked with my small doggo earlier at the park, and did some jogging with him to tire him out too.

I did a push/shoulder workout. I'm trying to isolate my shoulders more since all my usual push movements I use too much chest. before anyone says it I hate doing OHP.

I wanted it to like it but it just wasn't working for me. Your 3x/week way of doing it sounds good actually.

Yeah 6 days per week doesn't work well for me. I do push/pull/off/legs/off then repeat. I like it.
